Great Playground with Access to the Indian Creek Greenway

Creekwood Park is located in Madison, AL. It is right next to the Indian Creek Greenway and accessible behind a residential neighborhood. The playground is plastic and has lots to do for a variety of ages. There is a main play structure with multiple slides and climbing points. Many swings are scattered within the play area, such as traditional, baby, tire, and accessible swing chairs. Monkey bars, a rock wall, climbing towers, and rocking cars are free-standing. The surface of the playground is wood chips. The area is large but manageable to see kids while they're playing. Older kids can still have fun or set up under a pavilion with still being in eye-sight. The park tends to get busy, which also means the playground does as well.

Around the playground's perimeter is a walking path with a pavilion and various benches. There are multiple pavilions scattered around the playground and near the dog park. The dog park is a nice feature for those who want to bring pets and kids! The walking path leads to Indian Creek Greenway, which is a paved, flat walking path used by the community for recreational exercise. Another amenity of the park is a large 18-hole disc golf course. The course runs over the Indian Creek and through a portion of the park. There is a lot of green space to play sports and run off some energy here as well. In the parking area, there is a trail map, disc golf map, and some park rules for your convenience. The trails and parking area are wheelchair accessible. I recommend bringing a picnic to enjoy under a pavilion or at a table. Enjoy the day!
