Hop on a trail, hit some balls or climb some bars at Crestwoods.

Crestwood's Park is located right in Kirkland. This awesome park provides an outdoor gym, playground, sports fields, picnicking, and trails. There are multiple baseball fields, soccer fields, a place for some pick-up basketball, and volleyball. An outdoor gym is located on the left side of the park with all you need to have a great workout. It is conveniently located next to the playground so parents can keep an eye on the kiddos. The playground has swings, slides, lots of climbing activities, and a large play structure. It is on wood chips which ensures safer landings than most other playground surfaces. There are many picnic tables and even a picnic grove that can be rented. You can use the grove when it is not rented out. Restrooms are open from March to October but portable toilets are there the remainder of the months from November to March. There are paved trails that lead you through the sports fields, playground, and the front of the park.

You can also hop onto one of the trails on either end of the park that leads to the Forbes Trail system. That takes you along the Forbes Creek and isn't a long trail. If you want something longer you can connect the Forbes Trail to the Cross Kirkland Corridor. The Cross Kirkland Corridor is a 5.75 mile, one-way trail from South Kirkland to the Totem Lake Business District. It is crushed gravel and 10-foot wide. You can go there by parking at Crestwoods Park and beginning at the Forbes Trail connection. Crestwood's park offers a great day of fun for all ages and abilities. Also, the Kirkland Middle School is right across the street which has tennis courts, a track, more sports fields, and exploring!
