Get ready to have fun at this park with playgrounds, a splash pad, disc golf, paved walkways, and more.
Crooked Creek Park in Indian Trail is a favorite playground of ours. With two playgrounds, a splash pad, and a nature trail, you could easily spend a lot of time here. The playgrounds, which are on different sides of the ball fields, offer different experiences. The larger playground is a nature-themed space with large play equipment, swings, zip line, climbing, and music.
The area is fenced off except for the entrances. There are restrooms and a covered picnic area within the park. The splash pad is also connected to this playground. The splash pad is perfect for those hot days. It is fully fenced, partially shaded by trees, and has several picnic areas within the splash pad area.
The other playground is smaller but is for adaptable play. It meets ADA guidelines and allows for parallel play amongst kids. There are swings, slides, climbing, and the ground is made from poured-in rubber. There are no restrooms near this play area; you will have to use the restrooms located in the center of the baseball fields. Near this playground is also the outdoor exercise equipment. The walking trail goes around the whole facility and is completely paved. This is perfect for jogging strollers, bikes, and scooters.
During the warmer months, Indian Trail Parks and Recreation has programs at the park. One time they grilled hot dogs and had a water fight - all for free. There is also a little library set up at both parks to trade books.
