Deep Run Park has outdoor family fun for bikers and scooter riders of all ages!

This is an incredible pump track for bikes and scooters and riders. We went to Deep Run park for the playground but actually most enjoyed the pump track just past and beside the playground! We had 3 four-year-olds - two on bikes and one on a scooter - who learned about gravity, force, and the art of falling to get back up that day. There was even a bike cop that came by to ride. He ended up just watching our sweet boys and giving them stickers!

This Pump Track is the first-ever suburban paved bicycle skills course in Central Virginia. The track is custom designed to suit riders of all ages and abilities. The track has a top layer of asphalt so it’s really smooth for your riding enjoyment. It stays smooth in all weather conditions, year-round, without issue. Additionally, it has a real permanent, finished feel. 

Once entering the park, follow the signs for the playground. It will take you all the way to the back of the park and you will see a large playground and fields. Just between the playground and fields is the Pump Track. It’s completely shaded with a lot of hills. It isn’t a large area so you can set up shop in one location and see everything your little are doing. You will obviously need helmets and riding toys. It’s only good for a very experienced skater, not ours! You’ll need extra water for all the activities the hills take!
