A spectacular playground with an adjacent dog park so bring your kids and their furry friends to Discovery Park.

Discovery Park is a wonderful park to enjoy year-round and has so much to offer for all ages of children and your furry friends. Discovery Park includes a climbing wall modeled after Idaho topography, dual zip lines, roller slides, a splash pad open during warmer months, a fenced dog park and a huge sandbox with running water. Our family loves to get a snow cone at the concession stand after our fun time playing and spread out around the ample grassy area to enjoy a full day, Discovery Park also has covered picnic areas to enjoy lunch with your family and friends. Picnic shelters can be reserved online or by calling (208) 888-3579. Along the Discovery Park there is a walking path on the outside of the park, so while the kids are playing parents can circle around the park with the stroller. This is also a great idea for the kids to bring their bicycles or scooters to ride along the loop around the playground. They also have bathrooms with baby changing tables.

One of our favorite things about this awesome park is the hidden creatures, native plants and animals that you can find all within the play structure so kids are learning and playing at the same time. Bring some yummy snacks, a swimsuit if it is warm outside, some sand toys for the big sandbox and sunscreen. This park has everything you need for a fun time out with your kiddos and you get a great view of the Boise Foothills and Bogus Basin.
