Local Playground With a Peaceful Vibe!

Ensenada Park is located in a residential area of Mesa, AZ. The park is small but offers a nice playground and grassy area to enjoy the outdoors and escape some of the hustle-bustle of everyday life. The perimeter of the park is surrounded by ranch-style houses, and the park itself has trees lining the edges. The park is nearly 8-acres total and has sidewalks on the outside with a path leading back to the playground. It's quite simple and a really peaceful place to sit down for a picnic.

They have pavilions available on a first-come, first-serve basis around the play area. There are two on either side of the playground with picnic tables and grills. You know how hot the sun gets here, and the pavillions/trees around the play area definitely help provide some relief!

The playground equipment has a nice variety of pieces and is maintained well. There are a couple of sets of swings, but overall the playground is divided into two sections. The one side has younger kid pieces, and the other side is geared towards a little bit older. Both sections are very nice and definitely doable for all ages, however!

To be more specific, the playground has large climbing structures with slides, ladders, tunnels, bridges, and some educational panels. They have a few of the rocking horses in the ground and a couple of four square areas around the playground. There are free-standing slides and climbing games. There are benches around the park and play area for relaxing or reading a good book. I recommend bringing some kind of snack and hitting this place earlier in the day to avoid the oppressive heat during times of the year.
