Discover seasonal family fun and attractions at Fairfield Farms!
Beginning the third week of September, Fairfield Farms' fall season begins with fresh produce, snacks (apple cider donuts!), activities, seasonal flowers, and decorations. The admission fee allows access to all fall activities on the farm.
The fall activities are great for the ten-and-under crowd. A kid favorite is Big Bale Mountain, a play area made out of big haystacks and tube slides. Next to the mountain is the Spider Web Rope Maze and Rock 'n' Roll, a human hamster ride where you can go inside a big tube and roll down a track. All of these are great to burn off some energy! For parents or bigger kids, there is also a Slingshot Pumpkin Launch for an additional fee.
A hayride leaves from near the farm stand and drives past the goat pen, around the corn maze, and back to the starting point. Weekday hayrides begin at 1 pm and weekend hayrides begin at 9:30 am. Hayrides end at 5 pm during the week, and at 5:30 pm on weekends. The corn maze is located off to the side. Paths winding through the corn stalks lead you all around the maze into some dead ends before you find the exit.
There isn’t a pumpkin patch, but pumpkins are placed around the big field. One section offers smaller pumpkins and another section offers larger pumpkins. I’ve found the pumpkins here to be less expensive than those at other pumpkin picking farms nearby.
Don’t forget to stop at the farm stand before you leave to pick up apples, cider, mums, cornstalks, gourds, and even pumpkin carving kits.
The farm is also open throughout the warmer months with seasonal flowers and produce.
