The playground at Fircrest Tot Lot offers fun amenities for little kids!

Fircrest Tot Lot is one of our two-year-old son’s favorite parks. The equipment is made for one to six years olds, which allows him to flourish while he plays. The main playground area is covered in bark and can have large puddles after rainstorms, so always bring the rain gear. There are two playground structures and individual toys like a frog and car to bounce in. You child will also love the wooden carvings up near the bathrooms. There is a separate area for swings that include standard swings, toddler swings and bucket seat swings – the swing area has turf for the ground covering.

Fircrest residents leave extra play equipment at the playground that is FREE for use! My son is always delighted to have a bike, scooter, truck, or car to play with or push around the cement side walk lining the outside of the playground.

There are men’s and women’s single restrooms available with a toilet and sink. The area is fully fenced and sits across from Fircrest Park and the Fircrest Pool if you want to explore across the street. Picnic tables under the shade of a few trees are a great place to enjoy while your kids play. It is great place to bring toddlers because you can see them from every spot in the park and there are kids who are the same age playing. It is also located inside a quiet neighborhood so you don't have to worry about road noise.

Erin Gallimore
Erin Gallimore is a PNW born and raised, outdoor-loving girl currently living in Tacoma, Washington with her husband Josh and toddler Graham. Being outdoors has always been a favorite activity for her, but has found the calling of the great outdoors louder since her son came onto the scene. Erin and her family can be seen wandering local parks, hiking national and state parks, and sitting at local restaurants all across Washington State trying to find the best gluten free pizza. Erin works full time in healthcare and enjoys adventuring on weekends and holidays. When not working or adventuring, you can find her supporting local foster care charities since she was a foster mom for 6 years. Her biggest love is to teach her son how to love the outdoors and to watch him grow and learn with every adventure. Graham is a good hiker, loves water and sand, and loves throwing rocks at both. She hopes to share the love of the beautiful Pacific Northwest with the Happyly family!
