Families will adore this Bloomington playfield and playground. There are several large fields perfect for soccer, as well as two tennis courts and a baseball field. In the winter, you will also find an ice rink. Active kids will love kicking a ball around or playing tennis together. In fact, most nights, you will find families and teams practicing or playing pick-up games for fun. Parking is easy, there are two public lots available. The first one is nearest the soccer fields, off 102nd street, while the larger parking lot is off 104th street and nearest the playground. On-site portable toilets are also available seasonally.

Gene C. Kelly Youth Playfield is also home to the perfect Bloomington playground to meet other families. You can always count on someone being at the playground - ideal for parents and caregivers who want to ensure there are other kids to play with. Plus, the recently updated playground equipment offers endless fun! Here, you'll find a merry-go-round, swings (including baby and adaptive swings), monkey bars, rocking toys, a small climbing wall, slides, and more. There is a larger playground for big kids, while little can play on the small structure. Parents and caregivers can choose to run around with the kids, or rest on one of the nearby benches or picnic tables.

Don't forget to pack a snack or two! The Gene C. Kelly Youth Playfield is an amazing place to enjoy a picnic while kids play. You can even grab something from the nearby Starbucks or McDonald's (near the 98th street exit, off 35W). There are provided picnic tables, as well as ample grassy areas to throw down a blanket and enjoy!
