Hampton West Park and Playground

Hampton West is set up for a variety of play activities. There are tennis courts, basketball courts, a baseball field, lacrosse, soccer, and a playground. Spark the imagination of your littles on the playground built like a pirate ship. 

This is a large park with plenty of space to play sports, run, use the playground, and more. You will find large open spaces and some large equipment, think basketball hoops, nets, bases, and other basics; however, remember to bring your own equipment. This includes basketballs, bats, gloves, and whatever other accessories that accompany the activity you are looking to play.

The parking lot is small, but unless the park is being used by an organized or school sports practice it really is not an issue. Hampton West is great for a wide age range of kids but younger kids may need a bit of assistance getting around the playground. There are a couple of basket swings for the younger kids plus regular swings for the big kids. This is a great space to spend the day with kids that love playing sports.

Bring a blanket if you plan on staying for snacks or a picnic, as you will find bleachers but no picnic tables. Sunscreen, hats, and water bottles are recommended as well, as there is a ton of open space to play and not a lot of trees for shade. There is a porta-potty that is serviced regularly, hand sanitizer is a must. If you are potty training, bring a portable potty if your toddler is intimidated by the idea of a porta-potty like mine.
