A really tall playground at Hanes Park that will have your kids amazed.

Located just west of downtown Winston-Salem, Hanes park has a large playground with tennis courts, a walking track, a baseball field, picnic shelters, and natural trails. This park has two playground structures. The toddler play structure has a couple of slides, steps, climbing, and a shaded section. The larger play structure has large slides, a climbing area, steps, and a sliding pole. This is one of the tallest playgrounds I have seen at a park at three stories tall. This playground would be suited better for 5-year-olds and up as the last level is only accessed by a ladder. There is a cute ladybug rocker toy for younger children to enjoy, too.  These playgrounds are sponsored by Wake Forest Baptist Health. Hanes Park has swings as well as several picnic tables set around the playground to watch your children play. This playground is out in the open with hardly any shade. During the warmer months, this area can get hot, so bring extra water and move into shaded areas to cool down. This park is well maintained and the restrooms are right across the bridge by the walking track.

There are twenty paved tennis courts and several one-person half courts to practice on. There are three baseball fields and two open fields to play in. There is a lined walking track with one lap equaling a quarter of a mile. There is also a natural surface path at Hanes Park that is just over a mile. This is a perfect space for young riders to practice riding their bike on natural surfaces.

Hanes Park is a great place to spend some time outside with family.
