Located Just Outside the Suburbs in Small Town Hastings, This Family Aquatic Center Is a Great Visit! 

Hastings Family Aquatic Center is a great spot to visit with kids of all ages. So many things to do for toddlers on up to the adults. One entrance to the pool is a 100% zero-depth easy entrance for anyone. Near this entry is the toddler area with a smaller waterslide, some shooting fountains, play water features to run under and water guns attached to the toddler structure. Beyond this is plenty of space for swimming and playing in the water.

On the other side is a small area for babies consisting of four swings to put babies in and play in the water. Towards the back on one side is a 200-foot waterslide along with a log crossing activity for kids to test strength and see how far they can get across without falling in. Against the back wall is a rock climbing wall for bigger kids. My seven-year-old absolutely loves this spot. Next to that is a drop slide and diving board. 

Outside of the water is lots of seating. There are beach chairs for tanning, regular lawn chairs for sitting, or picnic tables with umbrellas to get out of the sun. One side of the lawn here is shaded by trees, and some families prefer to lay down towels in the grass and have that be a spot. Near the tables are the concessions. No outdoor food is allowed, so families can grab a snack from here. 

After drying off from a day at the pool, head over to Hastings Creamery and grab a milkshake for the drive home.
