Holland Farms is a local farm with numerous activites such as a corn maze, hay wagons, train rides, sunflower fields, and a pumpkin patch.
If you want harvest scenery and kids activities outdoors you should visit Holland Farms. From a cotton field, to a pumpkin patch (you can pick a pumpkin with an admission price), kids activities, corn maze, and sunflower field. There is a photo opportunity everywhere you look! We always have such a wonderful time. It's a locally owned farm that has been around for about 100 years. They have a corn maze, a hayride, train ride, cool activities for kids, roasted and boiled peanuts, ice cream, and an awesome pumpkin patch. It's just an all around good time for the whole family. Absolutely love this place!
Upon arrival we were directed to parking spots by workers. Then a short walk to a building to purchase our tickets. This building also has pumpkins for sale and jar goods like jams, peanuts, and icecream. At the checkout you could get a wristband that included all activities, which included your tickets to get your pumpkins. We got the bands. Then we were offered a complimentary bowl of boiled peanuts in either regular or cajun, I got the regular and they were really good. The farm grounds had a lot of activities for the children to do such as: sand pit for scavenger hunting, a giant spider web for climbing on, seesaw x 2, haystack with a slide, small pirate like wooden playground with a slide, a zip line, a small corral with 2 horses for horseback rides, a pony pulled cart for rides, bouncy saddles, peddle cart speedway, large balls to bounce against each other in, and more. They had vendors out there too - shaved flavored ice, cotton candy, and food truck with hot dogs, hamburgers, fries and more. The hayride lasted about 20 mins around the fields and halfway you could get your pumpkins and pick sunflowers. There is also a corn maze that I'm told takes over an hour to complete. There was a sheltered area for respite and bathroom area. We ended up staying about 3 hrs, but can vary with the amount of activities you take part in. All the personnel who worked there that we interacted with were very polite and showed patience with the children.
Other activities include a corn pit, giant spider web to play on, bouncy tire horses, boat type playground, slides, pedal karts, and slides. There are numerous farm animals that kids can visit and pet outside of the fence.
Fall season runs from September 25- November 6, 8am-6pm daily. Check their website for winter hours as they may vary.
