Hyland Play Area is the popular "Chutes and Ladders Park" in Bloomington!

Located within Hyland's Recreation Park Area, Hyland Play Area is one of the most beloved playgrounds in the Twin Cities area. With a great location near two large parking lots and the on-site visitor center with limited concessions, this playground is sure to be a hit for all ages (infant to tween). Upon arrival, the first thing you will notice is just how HUGE the play structure is! Kids won't be able to contain their excitement as they rush toward its towering structures.

Within the fenced playground, there are several areas where kids can play. Infants and toddlers can safely play in the smaller playground equipment, gently nestled in the sand just for them. A small slide and diggers will keep them entertained for hours. Nearby, parents can sit at one of the many benches or padded bleachers, as well as the shaded tables. The surrounding tables are also perfect for picnics

Then, older kids can take their pick between three large play structures. Firstly, there is a climbing structure that they can scale, jump off, and challenge each other to a round of follow-the-leader. Then, they can race through the hexagonal climbers and down slides. In fact, one slide is 50 feet long! Plus, there are twin slides, ideal for racing down. Not to mention, an area with swings. The playground is huge and can get very busy, show your kids a designated meeting point or where you will be sitting so that they can easily find you.
