Katz's Delicious Jewish Deli was Born in New York’s Lower East Side.

Introducing the local pride and joy! Oh my goodness the pastrami and Knockwurst were absolutely delicious! Wow, wow, wow and that spicy mustard, yum! This Jewish deli is a must when you are in New York City.

We were at a playground nearby (Sara D. Roosevelt Park) and I’m so happy we ventured a few blocks from our playground adventure to check out Katz’s Delicatessen. The place was packed and full of excitement. We were greeted by the friendliest staff, they even gave us a few samples while we waited in line.

Katz’s Delicatessen started in 1888 across the street from their current location and has been family-owned and operated for over 100 years! Katz's Delicatessen is a New York staple and their culture and history are widely known throughout the city.

They only select the best cuts of beef for our corned beef, pastrami, brisket, and other fine foods. Their corned beef and pastrami are cured using a slower method, which best flavors the meat, without injecting chemicals, water, or other additives to speed the process.

Katz's not only caters off-premise gatherings and events, but also delivers and ships nationwide. Order a holiday platter or cater your next family gathering!

Add this stop food stop to your adventure after checking out New Museum, Sara D. Roosevelt Park or M’Finda Kalunga Community Garden it’s about 8 blocks away, but worth every single step. Enjoy!!
