Step outside and play at Les Myers Park.
Located just southeast of downtown Concord, Les Myers Park is a 21-acre community park with playgrounds, tennis courts, a baseball field, an amphitheater, greenway access, and restrooms. The playgrounds can be found behind the tennis courts.
The first play area features a small play structure with two slides, climbing, steps, and tunnel, along with a rock climbing dome. The other play area features a play structure with slides, steps, monkey bars, ladders, and interactive play stations and swing set. Both areas are filled in with mulch and lack in some shade.
The restrooms are right next to the playground, which is convenient. The playground structures are fairly small so older kids might not enjoy these as much. I would say these are geared toward young elementary and under. However there are really nice tennis courts, green spaces, and baseball field for older kids to enjoy. The tennis courts are used by local schools for practice so late afternoons they might be all in use at those times. There are also several picnic shelters and a nice gazebo area. Just a small walk down the hill you will find a large concrete pad which is great for young bike riders, scootering, and skating.
From the park you can also access the McEachern Greenway which takes you down to the JW McGee Park and can take you to downtown Concord. Make it a family bike ride and do a park hop to each playground.
Les Myers Park is a nice little space to get outside and play. Check it out for your next family outing.
