Hot or cold you can hit the slopes at the Liberty Campus Recreation for some skiing, snowboarding, and tubing.

Located just southeast of Lynchburg, Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre is your one-stop spot for hitting the slopes. This year-round mountain is open to Liberty University students, faculty, and the general public. As stated on the website, "You can blast down one of the Neverplast tubing runs or ski or snowboard during all four seasons on the Snowflex slopes." The 2 full-inch padding ensures minimal impact when learning or practicing. Whether you are a beginner learning the basics of riding and maneuvers or an intermediate/advanced rider looking to progress your freestyle abilities. No matter what, you will have tons of fun learning and progressing at Liberty Mountain Snowflex. Snowflex operates two Neveplast tubing runs (350 ft. and 500 ft.) with tubing options for everyone. The Olympic trampoline is a way to jump for fun or work on aerial awareness for freestyle on the trampoline. Needless to say, this is not just your standard backyard trampoline. Whether you want to jump on your own or rent a Trampoline Snowboard or Trampoline Skiis (Liberty University students only), the trampoline is always fun for all ages!

There are several programs to enjoy at the mountain. Want to learn how to ski or snowboard? Check out Ski and Snowboard Lessons. This is a 2-hour combo pass, rentals, and private instructor with curated lessons based on your needs. This is available throughout the week and you pay by the hour. Check out the Next Level Development Program. The program consists of four Saturday morning coaching sessions. As an additional benefit, participants will receive one combo pass per day to have full access to the Snowflex slopes and rental during the program. This is for ages 5 - 17.

At the heart of the Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre is the Barrick-Falwell Lodge which gives the center a true alpine resort feel. The lodge offers concessions, including drip coffee from The Muse Coffee Co., fresh pastries, candy, hot chocolate, and more. The lodge also features various Liberty Snowflex merchandise such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, and mugs. There is plenty of seating for parents to sit and watch students enjoy their lessons.

Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre is a great family fun activity. Even if you are not into using the slopes, Snowflex offers one of the prettiest sunset views in the area. You can follow them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram @libertycampusrec.
