Beautifully landscaped and well-kept park for the family with a great playground for those elementary-aged and younger!

A quaint, simple, beautifully landscaped park with a great playground for toddler to elementary school ages. Whether you’re strolling and enjoying nature, packing a picnic, or looking for action for the kids… this is a simple, well-kept park and playground for the entire family. This town park has playground equipment for elementary and preschool-age children, picnic tables, a walking trail, and a picnic shelter. The playground has so many options for play and developmental stages: side-by-side baby slides, a twisty slide, straight slide, climbing ladders, climbing cone structure, monkey bars, and pull-up bars. There are two infant swings and two large kid/adult bucket swings. And for your kids’ comfort level, the play area has structures with two heights of play. Although the playground sign says it’s developed for ages 5 to 12 years, I’d recommend it for kids 2 years old and up through elementary-aged. 

There’s a covered pavilion with lots of picnic tables. Right next to that is a court that looks like it used to be a volleyball court with a broken net. But I’m sure there are some games you can still play on it with your imaginative little ones- maybe even the most forgiving volleyball game! I recommend bringing sunscreen (as the play area is in full sun) as well as a picnic blanket, lunch, with water bottles and/or juice. You can grab a seat at one of the several picnic tables- covered by tree shade or the pavilion up a slight hill. This location isn’t very stroller friendly as it’s all grass with a slight incline on most of the park. You’ll find a port o potty and trash cans very accessible which help keep it very clean and neat. People obviously clean up after themselves here!

If needed, the pavilion reservation fee is $20 for a three hour rental with a $25 security deposit which will be refunded providing the area is left clean after use
