Navy Federal walking paths are a relaxing break from work and provide outdoor exercise options.

Navy Federal employees may walk around the campus and hike in the pleasant landscape, but no children are permitted to be on campus. These paths offer wonderful opportunities to get a breath of fresh air and a bit of exercise. There are plenty are water areas to walk around and while taking a walk, be sure to check out all the nature has to provide. Sightings are various birds, turtles, lizards, and even deers.

Future plans to open some areas to the public are in the works: "Also in the works for the campus is a project to turn part of Escambia County's 636-acre OLF-8 land into recreation spaces, sports fields and some additional parking, which will sometimes be accessible to the public."

Recent work around the campus includes:

The 242-acre site is a parcel adjacent to the existing Navy Federal Credit Union campus in Pensacola, FL. The Phase 2 Expansion scope of work includes two office buildings (Buildings 7 & 8), an amenities building, two parking decks, equipment additions to the existing Central Energy Plant (CEP-2), and associated connecting bridges, roads, walking paths, stormwater retention and infrastructure.

Building 7 is a 510,000 SF, six-story building with mechanical penthouses. The first floor contains a 15,000 SF fitness center and a 4,500 SF health clinic.

The Amenities Building is placed between Building 7 and Building 8. The Amenities Building is three stories and includes a double-height auditorium, training areas, a cafeteria, kitchen, and eating areas, and totals 148,520 SF.

Michelle was born in Ohio, but after studying in Australia for a year, she longed for a sunny beach climate. She has traveled to 23 countries and throughout the U.S., however her home for the last 25 years has been in Pensacola, FL. Michelle is a licensed private pilot who enjoys four-wheeler riding, boating, hiking, extreme couponing, cooking, and dining at ethnic restaurants. She has a master's from the University of West Florida and works as an Instructional Designer. Her volunteerism includes a program lead for a virtual middle school book club through her employer’s school partnership program. She currently lives on 23 acres with her husband and 6-year-old son who jointly care for their (very large) vegetable and herb gardens. Her family donates any over-abundance of produce to a local church who prepares meals for the homeless. Michelle’s family also includes three adult children (one set of twins) and three grandchildren. She can be found most weekends working on their property or out on a family adventure with one or more kids in tow!
