Enjoy the outdoors, playing on the playgrounds and nature trails at North Rose Hill Woodlands Park.
The North Rose Hill Woodlands Park is a place where the kids and parents can enjoy the outdoors together. Playgrounds are located on both the east and west sides of the park. The west side is a large castle structure and the east side is more for really young children. The main playground has an awesome castle with many medieval-inspired pieces of equipment. There are tunnel slides, climbing places, slides, and more. The park has a surface of wood chips to ensure safer play It is located across from Forbes Lake and in the middle of a slew of developments. Bring balls or sports equipment to use on the open fields. Benches are scattered throughout the park and trails. The park has a main trail and leads to a gazebo. Multiple paths lead onto the road but there are some really nice trail loops. Perfect for furry friends to tag along. The wooded area has wildlife, many different trees, and plants. There are boardwalk-like trails through the wetlands and restored areas. Bike racks are available at the playground. There are no bathroom facilities but there may be portable toilets depending on the time of year. I suggest bringing a picnic to enjoy at a table or on the trails. Bug spray, sunscreen, and water are definitely something to bring as well. The trails through the wetlands may be buggy but beautiful. There are many options for the entire family to have fun here. Both play structures are maintained as well as the trails. This is a local favorite!
