Come to the Queens Zoo to see a wide variety of animals, a petting zoo, and an outdoor play area.
The Queens Zoo is open to all guests! You must buy a ticket online in advance for your specific date to ensure that they will not sell out. The park is clean, and there are staff that regularly disinfect the equipment to make sure everyone can enjoy the zoo safely. Social distancing is still intact and masks are required.
There is a carousel, domestic animals area, waterfowl marsh, an aviary with different bird species, and even sea lions! See other animals like bison, bears, alligators (seasonally), coyotes, and elk. There is also a playground for the kids to play on between seeing exhibits. If you get hungry, there is a small picnic area and cafe by the sea lions. Use queenszoo.com/today to see that day's exhibits and amenities.
Tickets are $10 for 13 and older, $7 for children 3-12, and $8 for seniors 65 and over. When you purchase your ticket online, you must arrive within one hour of the entry time you select.
This zoo is a really great alternative to the Bronx Zoo, which can be very overwhelming and large for smaller kids. The Queens Zoo is a manageable size and you can explore all of it within about two to three hours!
