Rivercrest is a 6.5-acre park with a playground, a splash pad, and sports fields.

Rivercrest Park has street parking surrounding the park. If you want to be closer to the playground, park on Harding Blvd. The playground has two play structures, swings, and bark ground cover. The toddler play structure has a tunnel slide and steps that are easy to climb. The bigger play structure has a pretend play area, climbing, tunnel slide, and monkey bars.

One of the things I really like about this park is the mommy-and-me swing. There's a few benches and picnic tables around the playground. Many Douglas fir trees provide shade which is nice especially during the summer. The t-ball field next to the playground is available on a first-come first-serve basis. For older children or adults, they have tennis and basketball courts, horseshoe pits, and grassy areas for lawn games or kicking a ball around. There's a free little library located on Barclay Avenue so bring a blanket and read a book under a tree.

The splash pad is a favorite among many children. It opens Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day weekend. It has buckets of water that fill and pour over, a tunnel with spray, squirter guns, and fountain sprays. My three year olds were scared of the amount of water coming from the splash pad, but children five and older seem to really enjoy it. Bathrooms and a covered shelter are close to the splash pad. Since it was really busy during the summer, we decided to bring our umbrella and picnic blanket. The covered shelter is reservable for two-hour increments which makes this place a great place to host a party or gathering.
