Royal Oaks Elementary School Playground is a small spot perfect for your little climbers.

When you pull up to this playground, you may notice that it's not a huge spot. But it has some specific things to do if you have a kiddo that is bound and determined to master monkey bars and a child that loves to climb. There are two sets of monkey bars here. One of them has four climbers to climb up, and then the bars are actually in a circular pattern, so they are a bit harder to grasp than the typical straight monkey bars. The other set is standard, with two ways to get up and down and a circular pattern. The rope climber is the perfect size for school-aged kids. Mine loved climbing up and then jumping off of it.

The swing set here has multiple big kid swings and one handicap swing, it's nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. There is plenty of green space here to play a game of football or teach your kids how to play baseball. Because it is a school, it is only available after school hours and weekends. But that also means it is typically very quiet. It would be a great spot to teach a teen to drive or park. Or even teach a younger kiddo how to ride a bike. Because this is a school, no restroom or porta-potty. There is one bench here for parents or caregivers to sit on while the kids play. You can easily see everything going on from that spot.

After a short visit here, head over to Duck Donuts and grab a sweet treat.
