Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park is a sprawling beach with an all-abilities playground and skate park too.

The Monmouth County Park System maintains this fabulous, 38-acre beach park with numerous amenities. Before you hit the sand en route to the beach, you’ll pass by Tony’s Place, a universally accessible playground for kids of all abilities. This large play area features various types of swings, slides, climbing and shade structures, and much more.

During the summer, Tony's Place offers a Summer Fun program that provides free access to the playground for kids with special needs and their families. (To obtain the free permit to access the program call 732-842-4000.)

Also located within the park is the Skateplex, open year-round from 8 am to dusk. Open to all ages, the area includes ramps and a pool to practice skateboarding moves. Bikes and scooters are also allowed in the Skateplex. Children under 17 must wear an approved helmet at all times while in the park, pads are recommended, but not required.

Meanwhile, beach lovers will enjoy the many acres of sand and surf. And, in fact, during the summer, this beach is a great place to both surf and swim with designated surfing areas. From the end of May to mid-June, a specific guarded swimming space is open on the weekends and Memorial Day from 10 am-5 pm. From mid-June through Labor Day, guarded swimming is open daily during the same hours.

Seven Presidents is also well-equipped with facilities and a snack bar to make visiting with little kids a breeze. You don’t need to pack in food, you can buy it there! Aside from the snack bar, you’ll also find sheltered spots to enjoy your snacks, as well as clean bathrooms, outdoor showers, changing areas, and a volleyball area too! Groups up to 50 can also reserve a picnic tent for small events like birthdays.

Pets are not allowed on the beach or in the park from April 1 to October 31. During the off-season, when the beach is a lovely and serene place to get away from it all, leashed pets are allowed — even on the beach, however, you cannot take dogs into the playground, Skatepark, pavilion and decks, boardwalks, dunes and habitats.

There is a fee to access the park; passes can be purchased on-site.
