Snoqualmie Falls and Trail

Found only a short drive from downtown Seattle, is what seems like an entirely different world. Snoqualmie Falls is a popular viewpoint, and easy trail, friendly for any accessibility needs.

The ride there itself is scenic through the outer edges of the Cascade Mountains. With parking only feet away from the entrance to the first viewpoint, you see the falls almost immediately (and hear them sooner than that). This view is the same one made famous by the mystery T.V. show Twin Peaks. Further down the path you will see signs for the trail, which is a 1.3 mile hike accessible for walkers, and wheelchairs. Dogs are all allowed, if they are leashed, and on the trail. The trail ends at the bottom of the falls which is also a great spot for a picnic, and wildlife watching. This trail is heavily trafficked and well maintained. There is a waterfall at the end that is a great payoff for all hikers! There is plenty of shade along the way and plenty of benches to stop and rest if you want to take a break.

If you don't chose to pack your lunch with you, there is a restaurant within the Salish Lodge, and Spa at the top of the falls with quite a view, and a fresh local menu. There are picnic tables for food and activities at the trailhead, and nearby a gift shop with memorabilia, gifts, espresso, and local ice cream. Snoqualmie falls is a great place to spend a day with friends and family of all skill levels!
