The Works Museum is a true hidden gem for your engineering loving kiddo.

I really wish that I could spread the word further about how awesome this museum is. It's a hit for any kid that loves building and creating. My almost 8-year-old was in heaven and my 6-year-old loved it too. The entrance can be tough to find, it's tucked down a quiet street near Fairview Clinic and the Bloomington Post Office. The outside isn't very impressive or welcoming, just a simple sign. As soon as we walked in and saw all the stations to play at, my kids bolted even before I had a chance to pay.

The stations are spread out in a way that things are not overly crowded and everyone can work through the museum at a nice pace. It was fairly quiet when we visited on a Saturday late morning, I loved how it wasn't busy. I love finding hidden gems that are quiet and not crowded and giving them all of my business so they stay open. The stations include a maze, Magna Tiles with a light table, Legos, huge blocks, marble run building, wooden block building and much more. You can easily spend 2-4 hours here depending on your kiddos' attention spans. There are two huge family restrooms available for use with changing tables in both.

I highly recommend visiting The Works Museum and giving them your business especially if you have a kiddo that loves building. After spending a few hours here, head down the street and grab some sweet treats from Blue Sun Soda Shop.
