Nestled in a lovely park surrounded by lakes, weeping willow trees, trails, and wildlife is a fun outdoor adventure.
This park has something to offer everyone. With two great playgrounds, expansive green areas, hiking trails, a fishing pier, covered picnic pavilions and a Nature Center Aquarium, we spent hours here and still no one wanted to leave when the time came! The trails are beautiful, wide and have lots of tree coverage for hot or sunny days. The trail can have some roots underfoot at points when circling the lake, so just watch your footing if going for a run, but it is also partially paved so bikes are still also an option. While on the trail you will see a number of beautiful water views that create a serene tranquil space for all. Dogs are welcome on a leash. Make sure to bring your lunch and check out the covered picnic shelter right on the lake and the fishing pier!
The playground has a ton of great features, including multiple slides, climbing walls, baby swings, a handicap swing, as well as traditional swings and a tire swing! There are animals to climb on, monkey bars and obstacles. Across the field is a playground geared towards younger children with smaller slides, tunnels, swings and playground spring riders.
The Three Lakes Nature Center is currently closed due to renovations until further notice, but check the website for updated information.
Even though the center itself is closed, don’t let that stop you from checking out Three Lakes Nature Center. The deck is opened outside the Nature Center. It is a spacious deck that has a perimeter gate to make everyone feel safe around water.
The parking lot and restrooms are easy to access.
