Timmons Park is a beautiful space mostly known for its disc golf course.

Located northeast of downtown Greenville, Timmons Park is nestled between neighborhoods. This 26.6-acre park has a playground, pickleball courts, picnic shelters, baseball field, and restrooms as well. The playground features two play structures. The first one is a smaller structure, geared towards preschool age, with climbing features, a slide, tunnel, and interactive play stations.

The second structure, geared toward elementary age, has a large slide, smaller slide, multiple ways to climb, and monkey bars. The playground area is filled in with mulch and has several mature trees close by to give some shade in the morning. A short walk away you will find a swing set with two baby swings and six traditional swings. You will also find the pickleball courts near the playground as well. Next to the pickleball courts is the restrooms.

The 18-hole disc golf course is a favorite amongst locals. This is a good challenge for all levels and a great layout with elevation changes and water. The course is mostly shaded and great during hot summer months. During the warmer months, do watch out for wildlife since water is nearby. Several people have seen snakes along the course.

Timmons Park is a beautiful space to enjoy the day. Whether you play on the playground, hit some balls on the pickleball court, throw some discs, have a picnic (or do it all!), you are sure to have a great time. Check it out for your next family outing!
