Climb the playground, hit the trails and enjoy this beautiful park!
Totem Lake Park is a recreational area in Kirkland, WA featuring a playground, picnic tables, trails, and accessible to all abilities. The park is new as it just opened in the mid-late summer of 2021. The first thing to notice at Totem Lake Playground is the vibrant color scheme. With an eco-friendly surface, the colorful areas provide safety and sustainability. There are three big slides and multiple climbing features to get there. Some of the turf is elevated into the obstacle courses but has a smooth terrain. No swings are available but there are large bungey rope climbing circles with places to sit within. Totem Playground is unique and offers the equipment you won't find in other parks. The modern layout, clean facilities, and accessibility make it a popular place to go.
The downside of the park lies within its location. There is minimal parking available for the park. You can try the street and local lots around the area. There is no specific dog park but there are easy trails and a water station just for your furry friends. Some visitors suggest the park as a perfect place between shopping, road trips, or busy days. Many benches are available as well as a 48-foot picnic table for a community feels. A short walk will take you to Totem Lake and a path to the park left will connect into the Cross Kirkland Corridor. There isn't much to do at the lake but you can look at the overlook located at the end of the path. The bathrooms are gender-neutral and three are available for family use. The Totem Lake Park is a great place for families to destress and connect!
