Verona is a huge park with plenty of activities to entertain your family for hours!

Verona Park is more than 50 acres full of grassy space, a beautiful lake, an iconic bridge, a large playground, tennis courts, a children’s garden, a softball field, and a walking path. It’s easy to spend the day here if you bring food for a picnic lunch or dinner. We primarily go for the playground and have also had a few family photoshoots as well. It’s the perfect backdrop during any season, particularly lovely if you catch the cherry blossoms.

The playground has a rubber floor and has a variety of jungle gyms, swings, and see-saws. A few standouts for this playground are the climbing 3D hexagons and slides built into the slope of the hill. The spring riders are always a favorite of the toddlers, they can choose between a dinosaur, duck, and taxi cab. At the far end of the playground there’s a shelter with several picnic tables underneath. Most of the playground is pretty sunny so this after offers some nice shade. The tennis courts and children’s garden are right next to the playground.

Walking around the lake on the path is a little over a mile. It’s a smooth, paved path, great for walking with a stroller. Throughout the park, there are large grassy areas, perfect for sunning, running around, or throwing a frisbee or ball.

The lake has paddle boats available seasonally and fishing is allowed. The boathouse is available to rent for parties. Check the website for information about annual events like the summer music series, and craft show.
