Virginia Kitchen is known as the place to go in Herndon for great homestyle cooking.

Located in heart of Herndon, the Virginia Kitchen has been family-owned and operated since 1973. This long-standing restaurant makes you feel like family. Many of the staff have been working with them for over a decade and make you feel welcomed. Loyal customers continue to come back and are a part of the success of the restaurant. You can tell in the quality of food that they really have a passion for what they do. They continue to introduce new daily specials, utilizing fresh seasonal produce and trying out new homemade recipes. For breakfast, they are serving up all of your favorite classics all day long. Their top breakfast combinations include items like Big John's Breakfast with three eggs, three strips of bacon, hash browns with toast or biscuit, eggs benedict, Cheddar Sunrise with eggs scrambled with bacon bits, chopped green pepper, diced tomatoes, onion, and cheddar cheese served with toasted English muffin & hash browns, and country fried steak breakfast, to name a few. Then you have their famous waffles, flavored waffles, Belgium waffles, pancakes, French toast, and omelets. They have lighter fare with eggs made from Egg Beaters and turkey sausage.

For lunch, they have sandwiches, luncheon platters, salads, and soups. Some sandwiches include the Virginia Club, Georgia pulled pork Bar-B-Que, deluxe BLT platter, grilled Reuben, grilled chicken sandwich, Philly cheesesteak, and fish filet sandwich, to name a few. The luncheon platters include fish & chips, honey-stung chicken, popcorn shrimp, chicken strips, country fried steak, rib-eye steak, and an open-faced hot roast beef sandwich. There are also several soups and salads.
The Kids Corner menu features junior breakfast, junior pancake combo, junior waffle, junior pancake, junior French toast, cereal, 1/2 grilled cheese sandwich, hamburger, chicken strip, and hot dog.

Inside there is ample seating. Outside there is minimal seating along the restaurant. The outdoor seating is under a covered walkway.

Needless to say, you will leave here full and satisfied. This is a fantastic place for a great family meal to start your day. You can follow them on Facebook and Instagram @therealvirginiakitchen.
