Weed Orchards has a dog-friendly u-pick farm with a winery, playground, bakery, and cafe.

Weed Orchards & Winery has been family owned and operated for over 106 years with “pick your own” starting in 2000 and the Winery opening in 2014. The farm is huge, has plenty of onsite parking, and offers a lot to keep your family entertained on a fun day trip.

The farm season lasts from April – November when the winery and bakery are open on weekends. The farm is open 7 days a week when picking season starts in July. An assortment of fruits, vegetables, and flowers are available for picking from peaches, to grapes, zinnias, apples, and pumpkins. U-pick updates are available by signing up for their newsletter on the website, checking Facebook or Instagram.

The Winery and Cafe has home grown hard ciders and wines made on premises and NY state craft beers. The rotating cafe menu features fresh fruit and vegetables from the farm. Pizza, sandwiches, and kids food like grilled cheese and chicken tenders are on the menu. No outside food is allowed at the Winery on weekends. Food and drinks can be enjoyed inside the cafe and tasting room, on a picnic blanket almost anywhere on the farm, or the outdoor dining area with picnic tables. Live music from local artists takes place in the outdoor dining area on weekends from 1-4pm.

The bakery is a separate building and offers a selection of bakes goods like pies, breads, and cookies. We tried the fresh baked apple cider donuts and they were hands down the best apple cider donuts I’ve ever eaten (and I’ve had my fair share).

Kids are sure to enjoy the Weed Town Playground featuring wooden play houses like a jailhouse, school house, and railroad station which of course is located next to a big wooden train! There’s also a jungle gym ship and wooden tractors to climb.
