Westhampton Green is home to a neighborhood family-friendly playground for infants to elementary school kids.

Nestled in the Westhampton neighborhood near The West End, this small and quaint playground for kids is a great stop for babies through elementary schoolers! There are two sliding areas - a large and a smaller one - and a mini rock wall, walking/swinging stones, and many options of swings both bucket and open. The large playground has a rockslide, covered jungle with partly covered slide, climbing jigsaw thingy, and a 3 person slide. There are steps and stepping stones for adults to climb and help the kids as well. The smaller playground has a circular slice, a rock wall/slide, and a tunnel by a couple of spring ride ons. To make sure your kiddos are super safe, the playground is mulched and fenced.

The park is completely fenced in, has plenty of trash cans, picnic tables and benches. But just a warning, there’s no potty close by unless you stroll down Libbie Avenue to do some window shopping, grab groceries, or treat yourself to a coffee or lunch. There are no dogs allowed at this park so please leave them at home. Parking is free but minimal along Libbie Avenue and a close side street. There’s a large pedestrian walkway but many cars that come around the corner, so keep your babies close by.

We bike everywhere these days so we brought our "big boy" bikes. There's plenty of space to bike outside of the playground, but still within the fenced area. You may also want to bring sunscreen, but it's not as necessary since there are great trees planted and spaces with adequate shade. There is a small field where you can bring balls to play games or just have your littles run around and get really tired. All of their energy will be well spent after a trip to this playground!
