You’re in Orlando and it is HOT! Where do you cool down? Here are our favorite splash pads if you’re looking for a little relief from the heat with a ton of entertainment to keep your little ones active!

Lake Lorna Doone Park & Playground

Downtown Orlando, 1519 W Church St, Orlando, FL 32805

Lake Lorna Doone

Right in the heart of downtown Orlando, you'll find Lake Lorna Doone Park. The park is one of the newest in the city, and the features are beyond fantastic! There is a splash pad, playground, and minigolf course all within a trot of each other. So visiting this splash pad is a wonderful way to cool down, dry off, and get wet all over again. All while enjoying brand new playground equipment or trying your hand at a miniature replica of one of the most famous golf courses in Orlando!

Fort Mellon Park & Playground

Historic Sanford, 600 E 1st St, Sanford, FL 32771, USA

Fort Mellon Park and Playground

North of Orlando you'll find the town of Sanford, and right outside their historic area is Fort Mellon Park. The park borders one of the largest lakes in the area, but if you’re looking for water fun on land, check out the splash pad near the playground. The splash pad is another one simple in design, but it’s the accessibility to other features that make this one wonderful. It is right next to a playground that is loads of fun, so once you have paid the minimal fee to use the splash pad ($2 per person, cash or card), you will be able to move back and forth from water fun to the playground.

Dr. P Phillips Park & Playground

Dr. Phillips, 8249 Buenavista Woods Blvd, Orlando, FL 32836

Dr. P Phillips Park and Playground

Right in the heart of the tourist district, you’ll find this entertaining splash pad! There is a minimal fee to enter ($2 per person, cash only) but it helps to keep it running almost year-round. The splash pad is split into two indistinct areas, but you can see older kids gravitate one way, while younger ones prefer the area with less water dumping! This water play area is also in a park with a great playground which only expands on the fun that you can have while visiting. And with plenty of pavilions and walking trails, you can make a full day of visiting here!

Kissimmee Waterfront Park & Playground

Historic Kissimmee, 201 Lakeview Dr, Kissimmee, FL 34741

Kissimmee Waterfront Park and Playground

South of Orlando you will find the city of Kissimmee, and in the historic area is a great waterfront park! Right alongside the lake, and with stunning views, you’ll find this themed splash pad, climbing with critter creations that call Florida home. The splash pad is smaller in size and great for younger visitors, but adjacent to a playground, which makes for double the playtime fun!

Downey Park & Playground

East Orlando, 10107 Flowers Ave, Orlando, FL 32825

Downey Park and Playground

Heading towards the University of Central Florida is a fun park with an amusing splash pad for all ages! The splash pad is a part of a larger park, with playgrounds, pavilions, and ball fields. But the water play area is definitely the highlight of a visit here. There is a minimal fee to get in (about $1-2 in cash) but worth the pay! The park is surrounded by plenty of shady areas and seating for parents to watch or even hop in and out of the fun!
