Published on July 25, 2022 - Updated on July 25, 2022

There are hundreds of parks and green spaces located throughout beautiful Pensacola and the surrounding areas. Splash pads have gained popularity over the past few years leaving us with several nearly-new facilities to enjoy. Here is a list of local splash pads that we love to visit on steamy hot Florida days!

Navarre Park and Playground

8513 Navarre Parkway, Navarre, FL 32566

Navarre Park and Playground

This recently renovated park has a brand-new splash pad overlooking the Santa Rosa Sound. Aside from the spectacular waterfront views, we love that this colorful splash pad is fully fenced and has very nice amenities. Take full advantage of the sound side beach area while there and hunt for hermit crabs. Also keep an eye out for dolphins as they tend to frequent the area.

Sunset Kids Playground and Splash Park

800 Shoreline Drive, Gulf Breeze, FL 32561

Sunset Kids Park Splash Pad

The Dolphin Island Splash Pad at Sunset Kids Park features some of your favorite creatures from under the sea. Enjoy plenty of seating for spectators as well as some shade. After getting drenched in the dolphin and sea turtle-shaped sprinklers, dry out in the sun as you slip and slide down the nearby playground equipment.

Carpenter's Park and Playground

5250 Munson Highway, Milton, FL 32570

Carpenter's Park Splash Pad

This park is a local gem and the splash pad area is no different. The splash pad at Carpenter’s Park is surrounded by towering palms and shade from nearby trees. The tables and umbrellas scattered around the splash pad area give off true waterpark vibes. This park is located on a tributary of the Blackwater River. Allow extra time to play and explore when visiting!

Benny Russell Park and Playground

We absolutely love Benny Russell Park! The splash pad is fairly basic but it is colorful and pristine. Tables and benches are located around the splash pad so pack a snack or picnic and hang out for a while. The splash pad area is fully fenced and there is a small playground located nearby for little ones that like to bounce back and forth.

Legion Field Park and Playground

1301 W Gregory Street, Pensacola, FL 32502

Legion Field Splash Pad

You’re standing on a piece of local history when you visit Legion Field. Now home to local little league players, this park was once home to several Pensacola baseball teams dating back to the early 1900s. Local historians even say that the great Babe Ruth played here during a spring training game. The park received a full overhaul in 2020 and a brand-new splash pad was added. This community park is conveniently located close to downtown Pensacola, and the Westside Branch Library is located right next door if you’re looking to extend your adventure.
