Flower Child: A Welcome Respite In A Buzzing Area

I was excited to happen upon kid-friendly Flower Child after becoming a huge fan of the Charlotte location. The two-story, high ceiling, modern and cozy venture is a great grab and go or grab and stay restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

After an active day, a healthy meal is just what the doctor ordered. They have small plates (with hummus), salads, wraps, and entrees with proteins that include salmon and steak. There are delicious vegetarian options too.

They have a short breakfast menu (avocado toast, breakfast burrito, and kids scrambled eggs), which is served from 9 am to 11 am along with an assortment of fun coffee options.

The space is clean and welcoming. For a busy beach town, somehow walking around the nearby shopping areas gives the feeling of a quick return to city life so it’s nice to find a place, just two blocks off the beach that feels peaceful. It is also just a few blocks from the Cayton Children's Museum.

If you have a favorite Santa Monica restaurant we’d love to hear about it at share@happy.ly. If you’ve explored the area, we welcome your photos at @gethappyly.

Also, please take a moment to download the happyly app for fast access to all of our weekend roundups, frequent blog content, and favorite activities, both locally and in many communities and travel destinations across the country.
