Nashville’s Top 5 Kid-Friendly Restaurants

Published on October 15, 2020 - Updated on October 15, 2020

There is so much family fun to be had in Nashville, and the restaurant landscape is no exception!

There are days when cooking for the family just feels like a feat, but luckily, Nashville has some of the best kid-friendly restaurants out there. These restaurants have all been kid-tested, parent-approved, and not only offer some delish food for all, but other kid-friendly features, such as patios, high-chairs, kids’ menus, and a fun vibe. Here are Nashville’s top five restaurants for families!

Nectar Urban Cantina

206 McGavock Pike

I’m not sure if a restaurant can get any more kid-friendly than Nectar. If the menu itself doesn’t convince you to visit, the outdoor seating in their backyard will. Make yourself at home as you wait for your food by playing disc golf or ring toss, listening to live music, running in the grass, or just enjoying the shaded patio.

Edley’s Bar-B-Que

2706 12 Avenue South

(615) 953-2951

OR

4500 Murphy Road

(615) 942-7499

Nashville is known for its barbecue and Edley’s offers some of the best ribs, pulled pork, and mac ‘n cheese out there. They have two locations in Nashville, 12 South and Sylvan Park (the East Nashville location remains closed as of July ‘20 from tornado damage). Their kids’ menu includes favorites such as chicken tenders and a classic grilled cheese.

Hunter’s Station

975 Main Street

(615) 610-3396

Hunter’s Station is the new kid to Nashville’s food scene and offers a unique dining experience. This local food hall is home to The Grilled Cheeserie, Hugh-Baby's, Citizen’s Market, Vui’s Kitchen, the Picnic Tap, and a personal favorite, Tacos Aurora. For the families who can’t agree on where to eat, this is the spot for you.

BarTaco

2526 12th Avenue South

(615) 269- 8226

Located in Nashville’s trendy 12 South neighborhood, BarTaco is a delicious Mexican inspired restaurant that features a fresh twist on tacos and beyond. Despite being a growing chain, it maintains a homey, comfortable environment, as well as high-quality ingredients. Your kids will love their $2 tacos, $3 quesadillas, or a $2 fruit skewer. You can also pick up a “Family Pack” to-go.

The Pharmacy

731 Mcferrin Avenue

(615) 712-9517

East Nashville is known for its food scene and The Pharmacy is one of its best local spots. While they are known for their burgers and homemade sodas, their beirgarten is a welcome haven for families to dine outside and enjoy a little piece of Nashville. Because it’s so good, it’s a popular spot and can get busy at peak dining hours.

Other honorable mentions include:
