One of our favorite family attractions in the region is Adventure Aquarium just across the bridge from Center City Philadelphia in Camden, NJ. If you are feeling extra adventurous during daylight hours or staying in a hotel downtown, take your jogging stroller for a run across the 1.5 mile scenic Benjamin Franklin Bridge, along the walkway and land at the Adventure Aquarium for a day of family-friendly fun. Teens may want to walk with you but we recommend strollers for younger ages. We love visiting at different times of year to see a spectacular view of the big city in ice, snow, and sunshine.

We like to arrive right at opening to be among the first visitors there and typically stay 1.5-2 hours (with a toddler). You can bring your little one and bigger guys to explore a plethora of marine life from hammerhead sharks to hippopotamus to tiny tree frogs. Top attractions include the Shark Bridge, Meet the Divers educational presentation, penguin feeding, and a totally hands-on experience in the Kid Zone. The Ocean Realm exhibit is a good place to eat a snack, watch the fish or even stop to nurse your little one.
