Alabama Safari Park is a drive-through safari and a walk-through zoo located just south of Montgomery.

This adventure was a highlight of our recent vacation- we made a pit stop at Alabama Safari Park and spent a couple of hours driving and walking through. Upon arrival, you will pay per person, and add on any animal feed you would like to use to entice the animals to your car. They will give you a map so you know where to go as well! The first part of the adventure is a drive-through safari where animals really do come all the way up to your car. Some are a little intimidating, like the giant Watusi cattle, but they also have llamas, zebras, ostriches, and many more! By simply showing your food bucket, you will attract several animals to your car.

The second part of the adventure is a walk-through small zoo. There are giraffes you can walk up to and feed on an observation deck, a bird area, a giant anteater exhibit, and a traditional petting zoo with farm animals. They recently added a sloth encounter that you can purchase additional tickets for! For groups of fifteen or more, they have group rates!

Overall, expect to spend at least two hours at this park, as there is A LOT to see and do! If you are local, they do offer membership opportunities that you can check out on their website. Alabama Safari Park also has partnered with the Gulf Breeze Zoo for conservation efforts to protect endangered animals.
