Auburn Regional Park is one of our favorite places to stop on the way home when passing through Auburn!

Auburn Regional Park is full of wonderful memories for my family. We first took my daughter there before she could even crawl, and we’ve continued to visit throughout the years. We love stopping to play on the way home from Tahoe. We grab In-N-Out or Panera on the way and head to the park for a picnic and some play time!

Auburn Regional Park has a newly renovated playground and it’s fantastic! The play structure isn’t like anything we have in our town and my kids love playing there. There are two excavator type sit-on features that you’ll “dig”, a huge play structure, a climbing structure, baby swings, big kid swings and all abilities swings. The play structure has lots of twisting turning slides, a wobbly tunnel, shaking platforms, a rock climbing wall, ladders and an arched bridge. The large dome shaped climbing structure is a great challenge for older kids with monkey bars in the center. I could definitely see older children enjoying the difficulty of this feature.

The park has a large pond with ducks (be sure to look up healthy food for ducks if you plan on feeding them!), lots of picnic benches, a basketball court, sand volleyball court, a baseball field and lots of open grassy fields surrounded by large trees. There is a walking path around the pond that measures around a half mile. The northern part of the park includes the disc golf course, another smaller playground and tennis and pickleball courts.
