Blooming Glen Park is a small, hidden gem with a playground, basketball courts and a softball field.

Blooming Glen Park is located along Rt. 113 in the small village of Blooming Glen. It is a small park with a newer playground on a wood chip play area, a covered picnic pavilion, picnic tables and grill. Additionally, there is a softball field and basketball court. There are no restrooms or water fountains available, so plan accordingly. The jungle gym is perfect for little ones aged 2 -12 years with a rock climbing stairwell, and spiral sliding board and big kid swings. However, there are no baby or all-abilities swings available. Benches and picnic tables provide ample seating. This clean, safe, quiet park is not usually crowded and is a perfect spot to spend an hour or two. The kids will enjoy the playground and playing on the large, open field. So bring a soccer ball, baseball gear, bubbles and anything else that kids would enjoy playing with on the lawn. Older kids will enjoy shooting hoops inside the fenced in basketball court or hitting some balls on the open softball field.

Pack some burgers, hot dogs and charcoal to grill up or pick up authentic Italian sandwiches at nearby Pasqualina's Italian Market in Blooming Glen. If eating out is preferable, wander a little further down Rt. 113 to family-friendly Hawkeye's Restaurant or grab coffee, baked goods, water ice, gelati or ice cream at The Hickory Stick ice cream and sweets shop.
