Cedar Hills Park is an 11-acre park with a lot of amenities that make your kids' adventure really fun!
It is an ADA-friendly place with lots of picnic tables and benches, a shelter, paved paths, restrooms in two different areas, a community garden, three parking lots, multi-use sports courts (baseball and soccer), bocce ball courts, and a beach volleyball court that my daughter and other kids use as a giant sandbox when no one is playing volleyball there, so bring some sand toys with you.
The large interactive splash pad area is a win-win during summer days. And the playground area is adorable. I highly recommend it if you have toddlers… they love to play at the little house. Besides that, there are swings for all ages (and one ADA-friendly), a see-saw, a small climbing structure, and some giant musical instruments.
For older kids, you can have a short walk to the north and visit the William Walker Elementary School playground area during weekends and non-school hours. It is one of the most fun school playgrounds that I have visited with my daughter. It is home to lots of climbing and slide structures, a merry-go-round, a see-saw and swings are available there as well. It can be a little busy on weekends.
Finally, to complete a full adventure day, I suggest you have some food at Cedar Hills Crossing. There are lots of restaurant options, a movie theater, and a small version of Powell’s Book Store. Also, another great fun option in this area is the King Pins Family Center.
