Century Oaks Park is a small but beautiful neighborhood park in South Hillsboro.
Opened to the public in 2019, this 5-acre park is located in a new neighborhood in South Hillsboro. It is well maintained, clean, peaceful, and shaded park. There are two playground areas. The smaller one has a wooden climbing structure and a plastic tire swing. The biggest one has a climbing structure that my daughter named Christmas Tree, a swing set with five options (one ADA-friendly, two for babies, and two for older kids), arched monkey bars, or a climbing structure – it depends on the kid’s creativity – and a large structure with more climbers and a spiral slide. Benches are available close to the two play areas.
There is a shelter with four picnic tables and a BBQ available. Also, there are two restrooms (closed in winter), a large grassy area for active play, and excellent paved paths that connect the park to the Rosendale Elementary School playground area (it is fenced and has a gate that is opened at non-school hours, weekends, and scholar breaks). I highly recommend Century Oaks Park for short walks, jogging, strollers, and kids with scooters, rollerblades, skateboards, and bicycles. Another good option is to bring some snacks and water and have a picnic surrounded by oak trees, squirrels, and birds.
Finally, there are two dog waste stations with bags and trash cans and no parking lot. But it’s a calm and quiet neighborhood, and it’s safe to park your car on the street in front of the park entrance. Have fun!
