Explore Downing Street Playground and relax in the adjacent Father Demo Park.

This is a nice neighborhood playground with two slides, baby swings and a jungle gym. With that and a more open area off to the side, this is a great place to stop and let kids run around to get energy out. Much of the play area is in the shade, which helps to prevent the kids from getting too much sun. The playground is on the more basic side, a typical smaller neighborhood playground, but the courtyard that leads into it is small and beautiful. The tulips were in full bloom and the fountain was flowing!

Benches are spaced throughout the courtyard, so this is an amazing place to eat outdoors. Whether it’s enjoying a snack or a meal, sitting down here is a great place to relax. Settling in for a picnic allows families to simultaneously enjoy the sunshine, a great playground, and beautiful flowers. Conveniently, there is a Sweetgreen (serves delicious salads) right next to this park, so picking up food to enjoy outdoors is super easy. 

Should all the benches there be occupied, right across the street is Father of Demo Park. This is another great place to stop and sit! With a central fountain and more benches circling around it, this is also a great place to chill outside and enjoy a meal. It’s also a nice area for older kids to scooter around the fountain on the concrete! This park allows families a space to sit and relax, throw some pennies and wish into a fountain, and enjoy the outdoors while spending time together.
