Doyle Park Is a Great Park for Playdates and Groups of Kids that are Multiple Ages.

The playground at Doyle Park is consistently fun for both of my kids and has been for the past few years. With an almost 3 year age difference it was difficult to find parks that suited both children. When my youngest was a toddler, this was one of our favorites. My older daughter loves the merry-go-round and the barrel you can balance and run on, while my younger son likes to pretend-play in the log cabin play structure. The play structure doesn’t have the steep drop offs or climbing walls like some parks geared towards older kids. While the merry-go-round can be a bit stressful to watch at first, once kids learn to assess the risk of certain actions and listen to the needs of others it can be such a fun experience! The merry-go-round at Doyle Park is also on the small side making it easy for younger kids to push and it doesn’t gain a lot of momentum like much larger ones would.

The play structure has a great little window underneath, and while it’s simple it provides lots of entertainment morphing from restaurant to bank to grocery store in one afternoon. The log cabin play structure also provides lots of material for kids’ imagination during play, with its walkways, central courtyard and walls.

The surrounding park is next to a grade school and has a grassy field that can become busy on weekends during soccer season.
