When visiting Dugan Park, don’t forget your kite and picnic blanket for the lush green field surrounded by oak trees!
The play structure at Dugan park is a school-aged playground and has a great variety of activities to suit most kids! While some parks have a larger focus on climbing activities, Dugan has climbing options along with monkey bars, slides, a bench underneath the play structure, a set of tube telephones along with a large soccer and baseball field, and a shaded basketball court. The main climbing feature is a mobius strip type climbing wall that loops around itself and provides a high level of challenge for little climbers.
There are quite a few larger trees around the park providing lots of shade. The soccer field looks like the perfect place to fly a kite or have a picnic, with lush green grass and no muddy spots that we could see. There are swings and baby swings as well as a few scattered picnic tables.
Dugan Park is nestled in the Crocker Ranch neighborhood and is adjacent to William B. Hughes Park via the Pleasant Grove Creek Trail. There is a short paved path that connects Dugan park to the Pleasant Grove Creek Trail on the South end of the park. The pathway is surrounded by native trees and is a great area for a bit of nature play and exploration!
There are no restrooms available at Dugan park, but if you are visiting the park on bike or while jogging (or it’s an emergency!), nearby William B. Hughes park has restrooms near Parkside Way.
