Jog, bike, walk or Nordic ski at Emily Stevens Park!
Nestled along the east side of the Snake River and Highway 22, Emily Stevens Park is an oasis, perfect for an outdoor walk, jog, bike, or Nordic ski day. It's an all-season destination and depending on the weather and your mood, you can choose from several activities to enjoy with your kids of all ages. With beautiful views of the Tetons and the gentle sounds of the river flowing by, serenity and opportunities for exploration are guaranteed.
The option to gently paddle boats through the winding marshy area next to the parking lot is available if you’re feeling adventurous, though it can get narrow if you start to paddle through the reeds. There are short trails to explore if you're here with little ones - you can take your young children down the dike to the trail heading towards the river bank for a picnic and some nature-themed I Spy. Alternatively, the 4.4 roundtrip mile trail (out and back) and Rendezvous Park right across the bridge make this a great option for a day trip when the weather warms up enough to go swimming as well. Bathrooms are available on both sides of the bridge.
The park and trail are dog-friendly and have a convenient parking lot. Dogs are not allowed in any town park, so this is probably the favorite of the options for where to run your dog - if only the dogs could fully appreciate the VIEWS - they are spectacular!
