Enjoy Glencoe Creek Playground in a small two-acre neighborhood park in Hillsboro.
This park is a quiet, nice, and clean space to enjoy outside with kids. There are benches, a beautiful small picnic shelter with two tables, an open grassy area for free play, a basketball court, paved paths (a 0.20-mile loop), a play area, and a small parking lot (with spots for no more than six cars). Unfortunately, no restrooms are available. Dogs are allowed, and close to the parking lot, there is one Dog Waste Station with bags available. Also, at the same spot, you can wash your hands using a portable sink with soap, paper, and a trash can. I really love the idea to wash my daughter and mine hands before returning to the car!
The playground has four swings (two for babies), one spring rocker, and a large fun structure with stairs, climbers, slides, a bridge, and a tunnel. There are some trees, but the play area is not shaded, so I recommend you bring a hat, sunscreen, and water on hot sunny days. Also, it’s a good idea to bring a stroller to walk with your baby, while older kids can bike around. When no one is playing on the court, kids can use it to ride scooters, rollerblades, and skateboards. It is a simple park, not much there, but adults can settle and relax for a while. Of all the times I’ve visited this park it was never crowded, even during the weekend. So, it is worth a visit!
