Iron Mountain Park Playground is a nature park with forested trails.

Iron Mountain Park is a 51-acre park on Iron Mountain Boulevard in Lake Oswego with a nature playground that includes a giant slide, a sandbox, and covered picnic tables. Sometimes there are sand toys left in the sand area for kids to use if they forgot their own. This is a really neat thing I've witnessed at multiple parks in this area. There is also a sand table above the sand area for kids to stand at and create.

The playground was completed in 2021. The covered picnic area also has convenient electrical outlets. Two trails start at the end of the wooden bridge and go over a small creek next to the playground. Each trail goes in opposite directions for a total of 1.73 miles. The trail is beautifully forested with Douglas fir trees and gives complete shade no matter what time of year. The trail can be a bit steep. It has an elevation gain of 285 feet. Watch little ones' feet, so they don't trip over tree roots or on rocks. The beginning of the trail has deposited rocks onit that keep it from getting muddy. Dogs are allowed on leash only. There are two restrooms back at the parking lot and garbage cans available.

You can connect the trail at Iron Mountain Park to Springbrook Park in Lake Oswego via a right turn on Glen Eagles Road to a left turn on SW Glen Eagles Place to a left turn on Wembley Park Road.

I moved from Northern California to Oregon in 2021. I have three girls, ages 5, 3, and 1. I was an elementary school teacher before I became a full time adventuring mama. My husband and I are foodies and we live in the forest. We enjoy exploring the Pacific Northwest.
