Be sure to check out Jim Gray park the next time you are in West Roseville!

Jim Gray Park caught our attention with its swings. One of my children absolutely loves swinging and many of the local swings are low and swinging to the sky becomes impossible. When I saw photos of the new Jim Gray Park, I knew we had to visit. The swings are as tall as the swingsets from when I was a kid, the kind that are tall enough to let you really get swinging!

The play structure at Jim Gray Park is bright and colorful and very welcoming. There are lots of different elements to it and I can see it being fun for toddlers through older grade school children. The long, wavy yellow and red climbing wall is a good challenge even for older kids, and took my 5 year old a few tries and some frustration to complete. I enjoy it when parks have elements that are slightly above my children’s comfort level and ability level as it encourages them to strive to get better and try something new. There is a rope ladder and a sloped set of monkey bars that are also both challenging even for older kids. The balance beam and small platforms complete the circle allowing for a very challenging round of Floor is Lava! There are also two very fun spinning features that always captivate my children for a good while.

The park also has a covered pavilion and a paved loop around the grassy field and playground and a half basketball court.
